Clients are impressed by Roy’s ability to shape his approach and behaviour to suit the culture of their organisation. Most of all, clients say that Roy helps them to achieve the results they want.
“For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by what causes some people to search for truth and understanding and causes other people to, without challenge, accept things the way they are. I believe that everyone has a deep well of untapped possibilities and I’m intrigued by the way that some people know and utilise this and other people are oblivious to it. The work I do creates the opportunity for each person, team and organisation to notice and utilise their well of possibilities, thereby enriching their lives, enhancing the performance of their organisation and meeting the needs and aspirations of the customers they serve.”
Here’s what some of his clients have said about Roy…
“Roy has an 'easy' and straightforward personality and is able to relate to and discourse with most people. He has a very strong aptitude for listening and digesting information, combined with the ability to understand, analyse and consolidate what he had heard and give a practical assessment. Roy is a good listener and doesn't talk too much. When he does speak up it is generally listened to and valuable and when Roy speaks in earnest it is definitely worth listening to. Roy’s an insightful & effective consultant and an excellent coach”.
Angus Porter – Group Strategy Director of Thompson Group (I also worked with Angus when he was MD Consumer Retail at BT and then Marketing Director at Abbey.)
“I entered into a coaching relation ship on the recommendation of my managers within the business and at the time didn't honestly know what a coach was going to do for me. Working with Roy for the past 9 months has enabled me to really focus on my personal development and by doing this I have been able to more clearly identify the value that I add to the business and where my skill sets can be best employed. More importantly it has enabled me to become happier in work which has further positive impacts. I thoroughly enjoy the sessions I have with Roy, he has an engaging but not overwhelming presence and is skilful in always letting me come to my own conclusions. When I have at times expressed frustrations over details of business and sought his opinion, he clearly has in depth knowledge of business and businesses.”
Peter Northwood - Service Development Director DSGI plc (Peter is now head of the Consumer Service Division of Homeserve)
“Roy freed me from my safety zone and enabled me to explore things that seemed impossible or too radical. He helped me to step outside the confinement of what other people expected of me and consider all the possibilities. Roy created a space in which I was able to return to an exploration of the limitless dreams of my childhood, when my aspirations were unrestrained by the inhibitions of adulthood.”
Suzie Wilson-Fraser - CEO of Kianos a major UK charity
“Maybe there are others like me who would benefit from having a challenging ‘sounding board'. Roy helped me to recognise my personal and business challenges and supported me in working through my ways forward.”
Elizabeth Fagan - Group Media Director DSGI plc (Elizabeth is now MD of Boots Opticians)
